Procedures
The Foundation aims at quick, sound and effective decision-making.
The granting procedures of the Foundation are the following:
The Foundation rapidly investigates the situation of the applicant including an assessment of the political situation, the applicant organisation or individual, the human rights issue and the effective intervention to be made in this context
The Foundation consults rapidly and systematically with national, regional and international partners on the strategy for the intervention
A key aim for the intervention of the Foundation is to ensure sustainability and a long-term perspective. When possible, a short-term intervention will be coupled with a long-term strategy
The Foundation engages actively in facilitating contacts for the applicant to present the project or situation to other potential international donors or institutions which might be able to provide institutional or financial support in the longer term
Self-monitoring and evaluation by the Foundation form an integral part of all interventions.
